Hiromi Higuruma - Deadly Sentencing
Higuruma is a 1st grade sorcerer who had his cursed technique and domain awakened during
the culling games. His domain, deadly sentencing is a non-lethal domain, in-fact all violence
of any sort is prohibited within the domain, the design of the domain is made to look like
a courtroom, and when someone is trapped within it they are put on trial, the proceedings are
overseen by Higuruma's Shikigami Judgeman. The person caugth in the domain is tried for a
crime they actually commited sometime in their life, the end verdict of the case is entirely
dependant on the arguments given by both sides. After the accusation is given the "defendant"
has a chance to defend their case, they have three options once it is their turn, they can
either remain silent, confess the crime, or deny that they commited the offense. If the
defedant decides to deny they can lie in their statements, the goal of the defendant is to
rid all doubt and be pronounced innocent by Judgeman. The prosecution is also given once
chance to make a statement, their statement is a rebuttal to the defendants defense using
evidence submitted to them by Judgeman, the evidence appears as a sealed envelope in the hand
of the prosecution, the evidence is not definitive and will not be shared with the defense
until after their statement is made, however the proscuter is informed of the information
within the envolope by Judgeman upon recieving it. Once both sides have made their statements
Judgeman will hand down a lawful verdict, if found guilty Judgeman hands down a sentence, even
the user of the domain doesn't know what sentence Judgeman will hand down, the harshness of
punishment will vary depending on the severity of the crime. The most common sentence given by
judge man is confiscation which prevents them from using cursed techniques. Once the verdict
is decided the domain is dispelled and the decided punishment immediately effects the guilty
party, however if the defendant is found guilty without openly confessing they can request a
re-trial which Judgeman cannot deny. The heaviest sentence that Judgeman can hand down is
Confiscation+Death Penalty when someone is given confiscation+death penalty first they lose
their ability to use cursed techniques, it then grants the user of the domain the executioner's
sword. When the death penalty is given the users gavel transforms into the executioner's sword,
without exception anyone hit by the sword will die instantaneously, under the circumstance that
the person hit with the sword has multiple souls housed in one body the soul which was tried
and found guilty will be killed. Shown below is when Yuji was captured within the domain during
his first encounter with Higuruma.
