Mahito - Idle Transfiguration
Mahito is one of the disaster curses, he represents the fear and hatred humans hold against each other. His innate technique is called
Idle Transfiguration, his technique allows him to alter the shape of the soul, both his soul, and others. Because of how souls and bodies
are tied in JJK when Mahito alters the shape of someones soul the shape of their body changes in turn. Mahito can also alter the hardness
of it as well, for example as shown in the photo below during his first encounter with Yuji he turned his arm into a sort of chain
made up of blades, another example is during the shibuya incident when he turned a man into a sword with a grotesque hilt but rather
pristine sharp blade. The strength of the person he is transfiguring effects how easy it is for him to do it, if he is trying to
transfigure just a regular civilian who has very little cursed energy he can transfigure them with a single touch and the utmost ease,
however with a lower grade sorcerer such as Nobara Kugisaki who is a 3rd grade, he was able to get the effect as essentially shooting her
from a short touch to her face, although if she wasn't a sorcerer her whole head would have most likely exploded. With a stronger
sorcerer such as Kento Nanami who is a 1st grade sorcerer he was able to completely destroy the upper half of his body by holding his hand
to him for around 30 seconds. Shown in the photo below is Mahito using his idle transfiguration to turn his arm into some sort of chain blade while fighting
against Yuji in their first encounter.
